PMP考试是由美国PMI项目管理学会(Project Management Institute, PMI)于全球181个国家发行的国际性专业认证，采网络在线报名。但因中国当地政府将此认证列为国家级的重要认证，因此，当地的考试报名手续将更为谨慎，须先通过国家当局(国家外国专家局培训中心)的审核才能报考。
